Electron Pairing in High-Tc Superconductors

چکیده

In high-Tc cuprate superconductors, the pairing state of electrons is still spin-singlet, as in conventional BCS superconductors. But the orbital part of the wavefunction, order parameter or gap function, has a dx2−y2 symmetry, rather than the isotropic s-wave symmetry. This exotic symmetry has been confirmed by various experiments, especially the phase-sensitive ones. But the underlying mechanism of d-wave pairing remains controversial. Investigations on Hubbard model provide some ideas.

Characteristic two-dimensional Fermi surface topology of high-Tc iron-based superconductors

Unconventional Cooper pairing originating from spin or orbital fluctuations has been proposed for iron-based superconductors. Such pairing may be enhanced by quasi-nesting of two-dimensional electron and hole-like Fermi surfaces (FS), which is considered an important ingredient for superconductivity at high critical temperatures (high-Tc). However, the dimensionality of the FS varies for hole a...

d-wave pairing symmetry in cuprate superconductors

Phase-sensitive tests of pairing symmetry have provided strong evidence for predominantly d-wave pairing symmetry in both the holeand electron-doped high-Tc cuprate superconductors. Temperature dependent measurements in YBa2Cu3O7−δ (YBCO) indicate that the d-wave pairing dominates, with little if any imaginary component, at all temperatures from 0.5K through Tc. In this article we review some o...

Unconventional Superconductivity in Layered Organic Superconductors

Like the high-Tc copper oxides, organic superconductors are another class of superconductors that cannot be fully explained by the conventional BCS theory, due to the repulsive effective interactions between the charge carriers. Experiments display similarities between these systems and the high-Tc copper oxides in their pairing symmetry and their phase diagram. In this paper, some results from...

ادغام الگوی شبکه‌ای هولشتاین - کاندو برای توصیف نظریه ابررساناهای دمای بالا

It is a common knowledge that the formation of electron pairs is a necessary ingredient of any theoretical work describing superconductivity. Thus, finding the mechanism of the formation of the electron pairs is of utmost importance. There are some experiments on high transition temperature superconductors which support the electron-phonon (e-ph) interactions as the pairing mechanism (ARPES),...

Pairing Mechanism for the High-TC Superconductivity: Symmetries and Thermodynamic Properties

The pairing mechanism for the high-Tc superconductors based on the electron-phonon (EPH) and electron-electron-phonon (EEPH) interactions has been presented. On the fold mean-field level, it has been proven, that the obtained s-wave model supplements the predictions based on the BCS van Hove scenario. In particular: (i) For strong EEPH coupling and T < T(C) the energy gap (Δtot) is very weak te...
